Solo practice cardiology office in San Jose is seeking a part-time Certified Medical Assistant (4 days a week - Monday to Thursday) to join our team. The ideal candidate is someone who connects with our patients, is detail oriented, organized, and able to prioritize functions to work efficiently. Our goal is to provide excellent patient care!
Responsibilities will include:
- Answer telephone, field patient calls and questions, take accurate messages.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments and procedures
- Communicate with insurance companies to obtain authorizations, billing information, and other necessary support, by phone, fax, or email.
- File and maintain medical charts using EHR, use web-based sites to download lab results and medical records.
- Room patients, take vital signs, review medications and lab results
- EKG's, Treadmill hook-up, Holter hook-up, Injections
- Maintain inventory of medical and office supplies
Job Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years experience working as a Certified Medical Assistant
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Pro
- Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT, ICD/10
- A professional and personable attitude and appearance
- Must be punctual and reliable with the ability to work on a project from inception to completion with
minimal supervision.
- Willingness to go above and beyond to support the practice and provide excellent patient care.
- BLS Certified
- Experience with EHR (Practice Partner a plus!!)
